Unfortunately, we see a lot of homeless people here in Dallas-Fort Worth. It always tugs at my heartstrings when I see a homeless person who has a sign saying, veteran. I think about that person, whether it is a male or female, who put their lives on the line for our country, and now they are homeless. Somebody who shares that same feeling is my next guest, Dana Prewitt, CEO of the L.I.F.E. Development Community.

During my two and a half decades in TV news, unfortunately, I covered far too many domestic violence calls. Often, it would be a standoff with police. And those are just the calls that we know about.
