Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig has accused the New York Times of clickbait defamation after the times wrote a piece about Lessig and the Ito scandal at MIT.

Lessig who has contributed to the Times in the past has said that the publication used clickbait to drive traffic and that in the process they sullied his name.

The Times for their part has said that they stand by their story and will not be backing down.
