Melissa E. Lentz is the Principal and Creative Director of award-winning Mjach Designs, located in Frederick, and Baltimore Maryland and Hillburn, New York. Mjach Designs is a marketing and visual communications firm that specializes in bringing businesses to the forefront to consumers’ attention. Melissa is a 25-plus year veteran in the Graphic Design and Marketing industry. As a business owner and industry leader, she has given back to her communities by working with nonprofits, and local schools. In addition, she enjoys mentoring students and young professionals including being a W2W mentor and Marketing Board member.

 

In addition, Mjach donates to many non-profit organizations, including Women to Women Mentoring, Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick She Week, Community Foundation of Frederick, Rotary Club of  Frederick, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. John Regional Conference, and Sunrise Assisted Living Facilities. Melissa credits Mjach’s success and her career to a middle school teacher who once told her, "You have to work your whole life, so you may as well love what you do!"

Roger Wilson has been a resident of Frederick since 1997, when his family purchased a home in the Dearbought Community. In 2007, Roger had the unique opportunity to participate in the Leadership Frederick County (LFC) program, sponsored by the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. The exposure to emerging local issues and a community leadership network inspired Roger to roll up his sleeves and commit to a lifetime of public service.

Kelly M. Schulz brings a wealth of knowledge to the Maryland Department of Commerce from her years of experience working in the government, in the private sector and as a small business owner. She had previously served as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) since her confirmation in February 2015 and is also a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates. 

At DLLR, she was responsible for managing an agency with nearly 2,000 employees and an operating budget of more than $375 million. Under her leadership, Maryland's apprenticeship program grew to its highest level since 2008, with more than 10,000 apprentices statewide. DLLR's Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) Maryland program received national recognition for both innovation and effectiveness and was named one of the Top 25 programs in the 2018 Innovations in American Government Award competition.

A former member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing Frederick County, she served on the Economic Matters Committee from 2011- 2015. In addition to local issues, then Delegate Schulz took special interest in legislation relating to banks and other financial institutions, business, occupations and professions, economic development, labor and employment, unemployment insurance and workers' compensation.

Peter Huessy, ICAS Fellow, is President of GeoStrategic Analysis, founded in 1981, and the senior defense consultant at the Air Force Association and National Security Fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council. For the past three decades, Peter has hosted the Congressional Breakfast Seminar Series on Capitol Hill. He specializes in securing support for key defense policy initiatives. From 1981-2011, Peter helped the U.S. Air Force with strategic assessments of the threats facing the U.S. He has lectured at the U.S. Naval Academy, the Joint Military Intelligence College, U.S. National War College, Johns Hopkins SAIS, the Institute of World Politics, and the University of Maryland.

Peter has served as a consultant monitoring budget and policy developments on missile defense, nuclear deterrence, terrorism and a wide range of proliferation, arms control and homeland security issue. He has written for National Review, Human Events, National Interest, Family Security Matters, Big Peace, Fox Forum and Stonegate Institute, and has appeared frequently on television and radio discussing key national security issues.

Peter also is Fellow of Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA).
