In this episode Furns is joined by Matt to review a fantastic away win in Perth, then a battling win at home against Macarthur.

Both of the games were covered with some great performances away in Perth, then a huge battle to overcome Macarthur. We broke down the goals and other parts of the play as we we watched the highlights. 

Then we talked over the stats, the player ratings and our player of the match. Also mentioned were the possibilities for Socceroos callups and an interesting tidbit about pregame sprinklers.

After that we previewed the upcoming away F3 Derby on Saturday. Can we win 9 in a row? Will us tipping the Jets jinx it, especially in a derby? How many away fans will be in Gosford? Will the pregame pub run out of schnittys and steaks?

Lastly, we finished the episode by giving our predictions for the game, the rest of the fixtures in Round 19 and briefly touched on a player re-signing.

In this episode Furns was joined by Matt for an in-person recording to chat over a bunch of games since our last episode prior to Christmas.

We started off with our thoughts overall on the run of games that sees the men’s team saddled with the moniker of #BoxOfficeJets the club as high as 3rd on the ladder. Then the discussions covered our style of play. We broke down what we were seeing as we watched the highlights packages on Paramount+ for each game. Points we covered included the goals, misses and significant events during the games.

We covered off the WSW game in a little more detail than the previous games. Then we previewed the upcoming fixture on Friday night against Wellington. Which players are likely to start, will we see Zach Clough, etc were all discussed.

Lastly, we finished the episode by giving our predictions for the game and then for rest of the fixtures in Round 14.

In this episode Furns was joined by Matt to chat over a bunch of games since our last episode.

We started off with our thoughts overall on the 1-0 home loss vs City, a 3-1 away win in Wellington and a 2-0 home victory against Sydney. Then the discussions covered our styles of play, and the difference against the losses after the win against Victory in Round 2. We also talked over the performances and improvements from the players. 

After the brief summation of the games against City and Wellington, we moved into a more in depth overview of the performance from the team against Sydney. When you consider we lost 4-1 against them a few weeks ago, it was a remarkable turnaround. The goals, subs, an injury and other talking points were discussed.

Lastly, we finished the episode by chatting about Bulls on Boxing Day and giving our predictions for the game. Then we gave our predictions for rest of the fixtures in Round 10.

We started off with the two fixtures before the international break, losses away to Sydney and Brisbane. Were these all the same issues? 

We then gave our thoughts on the loss against Perth. Chat was over changes to the starting lineup and the tactical differences between the teams in the three games since we last recorded. We talked over the performances from the players and the goals. A ridiculous penalty decision gave them the win (which we never really dissected!!).

In this episode Furns was joined by Matt and Ben to review the first 2 fixtures in the Jets A-League Men’s season and preview Round 3 against Sydney FC.

We started off with the F3 Derby, and our overall impressions of the game. Discussion moved to the disappointing performance of the team after a solid start and how the game then unfolded. We delved into the goals, before dissecting one of the most ridiculous VAR incidents in football. We then ended up on the penalty miss and the long ball upfield from which they scored the winning goal.

Then we moved on to a much happier experience against the Victory. We gave our thoughts on the lineup and spent most of the remainder of the episode waxing lyrical about Alex Badolato. The goals, the skills, the goals and the goals. And how we hope to be able to keep him for at least the season before someone steals him.

Lastly, we finished the episode by chatting about Sydney FC and giving our predictions for the game, the rest of the fixtures in Round 3 and then a quick chat about paper planes and $25k.
