Well it is a hormone made by the pineal gland, a small gland in the brain. Melatonin helps control your sleep and wake cycles. Melatonin is also accompanied by Serotonin. We are also talking about soltriol (vitamin D), the steroid hormone of sunlight. Now much scientist debates what are the actual origins and functions of these two very important hormones.  But, we will allow the teachers Dr. Jewel Pookrum and Dr. Tim Owens Moore to explain to us what these two wonderful hormones are all about from a balanced brain mind.
