The group - founded in 1997 - is originally from St. Petersburg Russia but is now based in Germany.  They perform Klezmer, Yiddish and various other Eastern European music. They will be in Toronto for the Ashkenaz Festival presenting one of their projects Tsirk Dobranotch (Dobranotch Circus)

The Ashkenaz Festival begins on August 30 in Toronto. Despite the name, Ashkenaz has become a renowned showcase for all kinds of Jewish music and culture.   This week, Rochelle Zucker focuses on some of the “non Yiddish” aspects.
