  • A Few Insights Can Change Everything
    https://www.JimGaliano.com
Sometimes you may hear the same business advice presented to you over and over again. It makes sense at the time, but nothing really changes. Every time you hear it, it may be presented to you in a slightly different way. You see it like a golden opportunity for change that presents itself to you for a moment… and then it’s gone.
You may hear the same basic advice 100 times, explained in different ways.
Then, on the 110th time, something changes. The light goes on, the door opens, and you pass through the barrier that has blocked your way forward. You get a revelation of something you didn’t have before, and it changes the game for you.
These moments in time are like mile-markers in our life and business journey.
In today’s podcast, I will share with you a few insights that may very well become to you like that 110th time I described above. That and more in today’s podcast.

  • The Long Game + A Big Reveal
    https://www.JimGaliano.com
Today, I want to talk about mastering your long-term or long game strategy.
There such a thing as a short game or short-term wins. And there such a thing as a long game or long-term wins.
The average businessperson plays the short game due to their short-term needs (like paying the bills or keeping the lights on). Necessity demands certain actions.
However, it’s easy to form a lifelong habit of being in reaction mode – living in the moment while at the same time losing sight of the big picture.
The lure of fast wins comes with a price.

  • An Improved Freelance Business Model
    https://www.jimgaliano.com -
In today's podcast, I’ll be talking about improving the traditional freelance business model. A better business model would allow you to maintain the freedom that’s commonly associated with the freelance approach – but also include scalability. Simply trading hours for paychecks has obvious limitations.
So, why not explore other options? If that sounds interesting to you, you’ll enjoy today’s podcast episode!

  • The Strategic Advantage
    https://www.jimgaliano.com
Data and analytics are gradually becoming the foundation for how marketing and advertising will be done in the 2020’s. Much of the detective work that was previously done by teams of “experts” will now be tasked to algorithms. What does this mean for you business? It means you will have access to information much like the biggest players in the marketplace.
In today’s podcast, I want to encourage you to consider adopting some the tools that will help you become a better strategist and make better decisions in your marketplace.

  • The Complete Solution
Nothing beats a complete solution. There’s nothing missing. There’s nothing else to buy. Way back in the 1980s, franchises started gaining preference over starting businesses from scratch. Why? Because a franchise provided a complete solution. All the tools, training and necessary components were provided in a single package.
The alternative to a complete solution to what you might call the “à la carte” approach. With this approach, you add one piece at a time, testing and adjusting as you go.
With the myriad of options available in today’s ever-increasingly complex markets, complete, all-in-one solutions are becoming more attractive than ever. With that in mind, would it be possible for you to build, market and sell a “complete solution” for your own clients and customers?
That and more in today’s podcast.

  • Business Models – Which One Works Best for You?
    https://www.jimgaliano.com -
Today, I want to talk about different online business models. I’m talking about the Freelance, Agency and Solopreneur business models specifically. Depending on the individual, there may be some crossover with the freelance/solopreneur approach.
Remember, at the end of the day, these are just labels. When you get right down to it, you want to be clear about what day-to-day activities you’re good at and what activities you’re not so good at. To make progress faster, you must build around your strengths. This is critical when you assess a “model” to follow.
The “model” is the complete package. It’s not a house without a roof or without a bathroom. It has everything necessary for day-to-day living.
Once you start seeing things in terms of “best fit,” you’ll be able to create your own blueprint – from start to finish. You won’t wake up each morning and wonder what you should be spending your time on that day. You’ll know for sure! You’ll be able to see all the pieces. You’ll have a clear path to follow… and that changes everything.
If that sounds interesting to you, you’ll enjoy my “mind dump” on this and other things in today’s podcast.

  • Changes in the Digital Landscape (A New Decade)
I believe a time is coming when we’ll look back at the past decade (2009/10 to 2018/19) and come to see or recognize it as “The Social Media Decade.” Maybe with time, the name will stick?
The end of the decade doesn’t bring with it the end of social media, but rather the phenomena of Social Media. The excitement with what was once seen as extraordinary now because ordinary. Even the biggest storms eventually recede in their intensity.
As a business owner, this requires an adjustment as a “new normal” begins to set in. Today, I’ll be talk about how we can view the present through the lens of the past. How boredom affects us and how we experience “growing pains” as we move through different phases of life and business.
Also, I’ll conclude by looking at what metrics you’ll want watch the most moving forward, no matter what type of content you’re creating or what size audience you serve.
