Jesus encouraged them to be as shrewd as snakes (wise) and as harmless as doves, because they were like “sheep among wolves” in the world. As Christians, we must remember that this world will persecute us. People will not like us. Our kindness will be taken for granted. We will be tested. But don’t give up hope, for the one who holds us steadfast has come. Jesus is the “Goods Shepherd” and he watches over the sheep. Grace and Peace.
