Ever seen the John Lewis Christmas ad? Well, believe it or not, there’s a huge team of people, that don’t work for John Lewis, making that advert. John Lewis pay an “advertising agency” to do that. This is the advertising industry, or for the better word, part of the creative industry.
What do they do? They come up with ideas for the advert, they plan strategy behind the campaign, they produce it, they run it across different media channels (TV, Radio, Social) etc. The job is massive.
Elliot’s job as a copywriter and creative is a mix of coming up with campaign ideas, and also writing lines and scripts for those campaigns. It’s very tough, but very fun.
People in this industry have a lot of fun.
