They don't believe you. It's simple. The more they believe you, the more influence you have over them, the more you get what you deserve. Clients, co-workers, potential employers, friends, family...

Doesn't matter.

Believability leads to influence.

Influence leads to power.

Power leads to getting what you want.

This is how to make it almost impossible for others not to believe everything you say and do. Internalize it and watch how your life changes.

To get hired, a potential client first has to trust you. You will NOT get hired on Upwork or anywhere else until you've established, at least, a basic level of trust. The common advice you'll get to do that is that you have to "build rapport". This is all true. But, often, you'll never get told exactly how to do build rapport. One effective method is what I call "Overt Transparency". I learned this selling cars. Not from my mentors in that industry, mind you. There's nothing worse than investing all your time and energy into something, banking on it being your future and then it falls out from underneath you.Sure, it can be an adventure.But, some of you have families. You can't afford an adventure. And, you still have to put a roof over your head and food in your belly.
