-A company based in Squamish - and bankrolled by Bill Gates - says it’s developed new technology which can capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere - and turn it into fuel. The company says the fuel could eventually replace traditional gasoline, at a competitive price.

-Trump will likely get a frosty reception at the G7 in Quebec, which kicks off today - in the wake of a series of tweets directed at Justin Trudeau. The pair will meet at 2pm Vancouver time.

-The Washington Capitals have won their first Stanley Cup in the team's history -- beating the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in game five.

-Tomorrow at 4pm, the Vancouver Whitecaps go head-to-head with Orlando City at BC Place. But tomorrow’s match is more than a game. Fans will get a chance to be part of the fifth annual #BuckUp for Mental Health campaign - which aims to raise $100,000 for Covenant House Vancouver.

-In an op-ed in the Province, Stewart Muir claims salmon farming is one of the most sustainable industries in BC, and should be celebrated as a homegrown success story. But biologist and wild salmon advocate Alex Morton says salmon farms lead to declining stocks and disease is a chronic problem in industrial fish farms. The ongoing debate is framed by a June 20th deadline for the BC government to either renew or cancel approximately 30 fish farm permits.
