There is a push to get more women to join politics, but when women do break into politics the backlash and hate on social media can be absolutely horrendous.  How do we make sure women feel safe going into politics?

After outcry, a protest and dozens of speakers at Monday night’s meeting, the Vancouver Park Board has sent the proposal for a new bike path through Kitsilano Beach Park back to city staff.  Commissioners said the proposal, which calls for a three-metre-wide paved path that would cut through sections of green space in the park, was not clear enough about whether paving that green space was the best route to take.

Belgian media is wondering if Canada is taking a royal visit seriously.  The controversy hit a high when it was noted that someone had mixed up the Belgium flag with the German flag.
