-The City of Vancouver has given the green light to a controversial modular housing project in the Marpole neighbourhood.  The facility, which would see 78 units of transitional housing built for the city’s homeless, is to be situated next to three public schools.  That location has drawn vocal opposition from some in the neighbourhood, who argue it will bring drugs and crime to a school zone.

So far, NO fuel has leaked from a 420-foot fuel barge that broke free from its tugboat in gale force winds yesterday afternoon, about 45-kilometres southwest of Bella Bella on the central coast.  Crew from 3 nearby tugs were able to get onto the barge and drop its anchor, and it's holding steady in the high winds and high seas.

The engagement was announced Monday. But the two were engaged earlier this month in London and will have the wedding in spring 2018, according to a statement released by Prince Charles.
