For this morning’s segment, I spoke with Laura MacCormac and her partner Chris Caron. The couple were hopeful that they would find an affordable home for themselves and their two young kids. However, Vancouver’s affordability situation means they are currently living in Laura’s mother’s basement. Their situation has become all too familiar with young families living in the city.

Nebraska regulators have voted to allow TransCanada's Keystone X-L pipeline to cross the state.  The vote was close in a three-to-two in favour, and clears the last major regulatory hurdle for the controversial project.

B.C.’s NDP government is holding off on making any announcements that might make owning a home a little easier in the province. Premier John Horgan said supply and a comprehensive response are needed to ease the real estate market.
