-A group representing more than a dozen B.C. construction trade unions says a report from regulators warning the Site C dam won’t be on time or on budget is “fundamentally flawed.”

Chapter 8:
-The minister responsible for B.C’s cash-strapped public auto insurer is blaming the former BC Liberal government for a massive difference in the projections on losses at ICBC.  Speaking with CKNW’s Steele & Drex on Wednesday, Attorney General David Eby said the government projected an $11 million deficit for ICBC.  But he said that once he had his hands on the paperwork, he realized the figure was closer to $1 billion.

South Africa's president says he has spoken with Zimbabwe's missing president and that the 93-year-old leader is confined to his home but is "fine.'' A statement by President Jacob Zuma's office continues to refer to Robert Mugabe as Zimbabwe's president amid the military takeover of the state broadcaster.

Vancouver City Council has approved an annual licence fee to help regulate short-term rentals like Airbnb. Anyone who lists their property as a short-term rental on websites such as Airbnb and Expedia will now have to buy a $49 annual license, which must be posted on their online listing.
