At last word, the Philpott Road fire burning in the Joe Rich area 20 kilometres east of Kelowna was estimated at 380 hectares in size.  There's no word yet this morning if it grew overnight.

Premier John Horgan will hold a news conference at 10 this morning at a site in Port Coquitlam with the Port Mann Bridge in the background, leading to speculation he will announce details of when the tolls will be coming off the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges.

Cool overnight conditions and minimal wind kept a 380-hectare fire that flared up in the Joe Rich area near Kelowna from progressing.  An evacuation order issued Thursday is still in place impacting about 1,100 people in the Joe Rich area. The status of the evacuation order will be reviewed Friday morning.
