A Vancouver woman is swimming across the English Channel! Jessi Harewicz practiced by swimming 30-km across the Georgia Strait in 11 hours and 20 minutes...although the Channel is significantly more difficult.

Police are changing their tactics and doing everything they possibly can, to gain ground on the gang violence that exists in BC. But is it enough without a shift in the way we think about education and prevention.

It looks like there are about 180 pages of reports, briefings and memos from Gordon Wilson to the former Liberal government during his first 15 months as the province's LNG Advocate.  The B.C. government fired Wilson last week saying they did a review of his work and concluded he did little work while he was the LNG Advocate.  The Province newspaper's Michael Smyth is here with his take on the day's headlines.
