This weekend is the Richmond Maritime Festival at the Britannia Shipyards in Steveston. Musicians, storytellers, drummers, and dancers will showcase the city’s waterfront heritage, from the past to the present. A significant part of that history is the story of the Japanese fisherman and their families who arrived here in the 1800s.
