The new minister responsible for TransLink says his party will no longer require another referendum in order for the region to develop new funding for the transit system.  Vancouver-False Creek MLA Sam Sullivan, who was sworn into the cabinet position Monday, says the BC Liberals will make the policy change if they survive their coming confidence vote.

Two hikers cleaned up and carried down a mountain exactly that much garbage left behind by other trail users.

Vince Emond and Devan Francis carried 40 pounds of garbage from the trail including tarps, tents, party cups and all sorts of trash discarded at Upper Joffre Lake.

During an interview with CKNW's SImi Sara earlier in the show, Liberal MLA Sam Sullivan made the comment that there was infighting going on between the NDP and Green Party.  But is what he said true? or just a story?
