Sen. Lindsay Graham is threatening to issue a subpoena to the FBI in order to obtain proof that they either did or did not file a warrant to wiretap Trump’s home.

The Girl Guides of Canada have announced they will be cancelling all up-coming travel plans to the United States because of Donald Trump's travel rules. A spokesperson for the organization said they just simply have too many girls of diverse ethnicities and they don't want to risk any problems at the border that could exclude, alienate, or trouble any of the kids. She added there has not been any reports so far of any Girl Guides having problems at the border. 

Premier Christy Clark says her government is looking to create a panel to investigate political fundraising in B.C.  But what does this mean, two months before the provincial election?  The Province newspaper's Michael Smyth is here with his take on the day's headlines.

Premier Christy Clark is now promising to establish an independent panel to get information from RCMP and political parties on campaign donations. Clark says every member of a donations panel would have to be approved unanimously by the B.C. legislature. The independent panel will review party fundraising every two terms. Clark says campaign finance reform cannot be done by an incumbent government "on its own terms" must be non-partisan.

BC's top court believes tougher sentences need to be handed down to drug dealers responsible for the fentanyl crisis. the BC Court of Appeal thinks the current sentencing range of six to 12 months is just not enough. Instead, it's suggesting sentences between 18 and 36 months for dealing a drug with the consequences of fentanyl...noting the "moral culpability" of those pushing the opioid...especially in BC, which is believed to have the worst fentanyl problem in the country.

The committee representing the Island communities that rely on BC Ferries for transportation is calling foul on the steep rise in ticket prices to the smaller routes. The Southern Gulf Island Ferry Advisory Committee says some fares have risen by up to 69%, more than three times the rate of inflation.
