One of the major concerns with the amount of money in BC Politics is that someone with lots of money will be given favour from the governing party. The Dogwood initiative is saying that the BC Liberal government has been showing favour to donors when handing out government contracts.

Demonstrations are planned today around the world to mark International Women's Day. And around the U-S, demonstrations will be part-strike, part protest march.

The Metro Vancouver homeless count gets underway Tuesday, where volunteers try to get a snapshot of those who are down and out in the region.  A recent tally from Metro Vancouver’s homelessness task force gauged around 4,000 homeless people in the region, with 70 homeless camps.
