General Motors will make an announcement today amid reports it’ll shutter its car making facility in Oshawa, Ontario, resulting in the loss of 3,000 jobs. Bill Macklen has worked at the plant for more than 31 years, and says while the news came as a surprise, he’d heard rumblings about the future of the plant for some time.  Global News Toronto reporter Marianne Dimain joins us on the line from Oshawa.
