What kind of relationship are you expecting to find? You might be saying you want something wonderful but if subconsciously you are expecting it to turn out bad or not even get passed her agreeing to a date, then you are sabotaging any chance of that relationship happening.
Mindset seems to come up around most subjects these days. If I am honest then I know that my mindset about relationships has been out of whack since I was a teenager. Either asking the wrong person out, staying in a bad relationship or desperately falling in love and swamping her. Fair to say there were some common traits that needed working on.
Dominey Drew is a dating and mindset coach. In this laid back conversation, we discuss the common concerns and mistakes that men make in their relationship or whilst searching for a new one.
The real eye-opener is realising that the challenges we experience in dating and relationships will be showing up in other areas of our life also.
The good news is you can bring about massive change by transforming who you are being. Could you be fearless? Could you be light? What could you be that would result in an awesome conversation no matter who she was or how attractive she was?
Turns out most women would love a pleasant and well-placed compliment. Or shall we say at least, not weird and awkward? What is the worst that could happen anyway?!

How we communicate as Dads to our wife, to our children, to our ex-wife is so very important. It is obvious to say but in practice much harder to actually do. Standing in our masculine power, sure-footed and certain, with an equal amount of empathy, love and appreciation is not natural to all of us.
It is in this context that Tracy Poizner works with step-mums and separated Dads who are in a new relationship.
Whether you are still in your marriage or trying to navigate dialogue with your ex, getting communication right can be the difference between forward momentum and utter breakdown. We can be all like "it's her, not me" but where does that get us? We cannot change other people but we can work on ourselves.
As Dads, we need to be present to our values and what we want out of our relationships. Ask yourself, what is it I am hoping to achieve? How do I want this to turn out? It is not about being a push-over nor is about constantly battling back. You will not achieve anything by focusing on the immediate issue either. Let stuff go and focus on the bigger picture. This is where you will find both your strength and inner peace.
If you are a divorced Dad then you will likely know you are up against the stigma of 'deadbeat Dad' or of people presuming it had to be the man's fault that the relationship broke down. It is all our responsibility as Modern Dads to responsibly show a different story. Sure the relationship went wrong for whatever reason but now it is time to do and be what is right for everyone, especially your children.
Your communication is part of that. Lord knows it is painful and unfair at times. And indeed it can be some Mums that are experiencing this. Whatever it takes aim to take the higher ground, do it.
Here are some co-parenting apps you could try...

Being a strong man is so very important if we are to achieve the life we desire. Strength though is a combination of attributes and if you have one without the others then your desire for success will painfully allude you.
John Davis is a stuntman, comedian, lecturer, motivational speaker and a Dad. He literally ticks so many of my Team Super Dad boxes - let alone personal interests - that I had to get him on the podcast. No surprise we could have chatted for hours.
John also has his own Five F's and an Action Hero programme. Could it get even more perfect?!
Many Dads wander through life quietly upset and resentful that they are not achieving the success they quite desire. That's both ok and not ok. Ok because so many of us do it, meaning you are not alone. But also not ok because what kind of an experience of life is that. This is why mindset is at the heart of so much of what we all do. John shares a powerful story from his life where a back injury nearly ruined all his ambitions of being a stuntman. His clarity and focus meant that he made strong decisions about his treatment. He was reinforced in his thinking through the knowledge he gained from reading a book by Bruce Lee.
These were to be decisions and drive that lead to his body repairing itself and him enjoying the career he has.
Where in your life are you lacking this kind of clarity and determination? Don't worry, most people have the same answer.
Along with our incredibly enjoyable conversation John shares with us his principles of the Five F's. You can get his free download which includes full details on how to use them.

Managing your mindset is a key element in achieving the life you desire. You could call it a way of being or simply a good habit. Either way when you manage your mindset you are better able to decide how each day goes. If you have a goal or project you want to succeed in, then the right mindset will obviously benefit that.
In essence, when you master a positive and on top of things mindset, then you begin to understand and unlock the law of attraction work. Stuff happens when you create a smooth runway for it to arrive.
Kim Campion is the 'Empowerment Whiz'. She decided on that title after feeling there was just a few too many people ready to slap the work expert alongside their name and she wanted to stand out from the crowd. For sure though she knows a thing or two about mindset, positive mental attitude and empowerment.

So I'm having a coaching session with a Dad this week about the fall out from finding his son's porno stash. Granted this was a good few years ago. All our boys have to do nowadays is keep the sound down and go incognito on their browser. They do not know they are born!
Today's Wrap Up is brought to you by two good men, Jonnie Jensen and Glen Osko. It occurred to us near the end that we would like to do a monthly session of the Wrap Up with some fun Mum podcasters. If that is you then get in touch.
This week:
When parents find your pornos
Hot in the 90's - Friends Special
Driving fast
Brother vs Sister battles
Suicide prevention
What to watch - Brockmire
And any other random bloke chat that comes up. We may be 20 minutes or we may be an hour. And that is two blokes chatting.

When it comes to interior design - or just making a home feel happy - many men have not got a clue. Or at least they think they do not. In actual fact designing your home is easier than you think and you do not worry about messing it up.
In this episode of the Team Super Dad podcast I talk with interior designer Clare Topham. She works with families to redesign their homes. She shares a step by step process that will have you create your home - as a couple or a single Dad - in a way that feels totally calm, happy and awesome.
Feel to watch and leave comments on the videos Live or the video replays on YouTube or in the Facebook Group.
