Today we talk about what it means to be "sealed" or "marked" by God.  Pastor Teri shares that we are all made for a "mark".  Will we choose to be marked by the world or by God?

Pastor Teri shares about cultivating intimacy with Jesus and how this depth-in-God is part of our being marked by God.  We learn that you cannot be marked by both God and the world and how that is equivalent to "lukewarmness" and duplicity, which God does not tolerate.  Pastor Teri also shares a hope-filled word for us all that this preparation of our hearts should not be such a confusing and difficult thing to figure out.

In this episode Mel and Jenn interview Pastor Teri Furr from the Refuge Church in Kannapolis, NC. 

In 2020, Pastor Teri Furr taught a 12-part series called Filling Our Lamps which carried the theme of preparation and understanding the end times.  This teaching has greatly impacted Mel and Jenn and is referenced in previous episodes on The Journey Expressed. 

In this episode Pastor Teri shares about her preparation leading up to this series as well as a compelling message on what we are to be preparing for.   We talk about the fact that part of preparation is removing the stony places in our hearts and dealing with our offenses toward God.  Pastor Teri gives a hope-filled account of how God intends to release His glory like never before through the Church in the end times.

In this episode Jenn and Mel pick up their conversation with Missy Evans on the book of Song of Solomon.

Song of Solomon is one of the oldest books in the Bible.  We must remember to read the Old Testament through the lens of the New Testament.  Missy references the NT books John and 1 John and connects God's love for mankind.

Song of Solomon helps us understand the type of church that Jesus is coming back for.  This is an apocalyptic text.

Missy shares about "spiritual preparation" and what we (the church) are getting ready for and how to prepare for Jesus' return. She shares about how to hear God's voice and to discern how He speaks.
