Did you know that God wants to love you not just the one time upon salvation but over and over and over again? And that you are powerful enough to stop Him?

Did you know that God has hand made you to do good works assigned just to you? And that you are powerful to say No to Him?

This series called AGAPE YOURSELF has been one of the most powerful series of messages I have ever taught.

And, it is one of those teachings that regularly gets the most pushback when I share it.

I believe the pushback is so hard because Christians still live in so much shame because they struggle with Comprehending and Receiving God’s ridiculous, scandalous love.

And, THIS makes it hard to love OURselves, which makes it hard to love others well.

“You must love your neighbor, the person nearest you, in the same way YOU LOVE YOURSELF” (Mark 12 LHT)

After recording this I got to thinking about how BELIEF is connected to the pursuit of success.

IF you do not believe you are Blessed by God then you will not pursue or enjoy success. Why? Because true success comes FROM His blessings.

If you do not believe you are Designed for Good Works then you will not pursue or enjoy sucecss. Why? Because you will have your nose to the grindstone working hard to “get” something instead of leaning into your Design and living from that (which just may be the greatest success ever!).

* Imagining how we can increase our income to give more to the hungry, the lost, the addicted, to spreading the gospel and on and on

* Imagining what God wants to do In and Thru us in order to benefit our world around us, which may include our family, neighbors, the foreigner and our enemy

* Imagining how to love our neighbor, the stranger, the outcast and our enemy on a regular basis and in an intentional way and then acting upon that imagination

I often tell clients that they need to learn how to fail more often and fail faster. Why? The faster you fail the faster you learn.

The new thing I just learned this past week is that you there is a ratio of success/failure that you want to get right if you want to optimize your learning.

Yes, there is actually an Optimal Failure Rate that will help us to learn faster.

This Simple Rule states that you will learn things faster and easier if you succeed 85% of the time, which means failing 15% of the time. This 85% Rule for Optimal Learning can really help us set some smaller goals to reach the larger goals which will also encourage us to stick with the new things (habits?) we are learning.

Listen in AND Apply AND then ASSESS your progress (and do over and over again).

I am praying for your continued success when it comes to Goal Setting specifically and to your life generally.

* Honestly express the things of God that taste BITTER when you say them
