I edited this portion of the podcast yesterday morning and was, well, inspired by what I heard!

I know! It was me listening to me but it was still a nice surprise.

This is how I am “Working” the writing and the podcasting…

* I write some articles then I sit down in front of the microphone and start talking.

* I just talk about that one topic, well, trying to stick to one topic.

* My goal is to talk like I am having a chat with a trusted friend.

* Within that talking I am exploring what I wrote at a deeper level, which means I am learning something new about myself. Or, maybe a better way to say that is, I am pulling some stuff out of myself that I wasn’t aware of (or had hidden).

* While I am podcasting I am “Listening” to myself explore and then the next week when I edit I get to listen again (and cut out all the bad parts…if only life were that way!).

This is Part #2 and you may notice I changed the title up from Part #1.

Why?

Because as I was editing I found a clearer theme and wanted this series to reflect how important Personal Clarity is and not only Clarifying Conversations. In fact, you will have far fewer healthy clarifying conversations if you do not get clear about yourself!

In this 24-minutes we will explore…

* I am a Practicing Christian (which means perfection is never the goal)

* I have a spiritual gift

* I am a Gift, yet may need to sharpen myself

* I DO Care even when I say I do not care

I believe that Personal Clarity is Crucial to personal happiness, health and growth.

Without personal clarity we are those who are tossed about on the waves of indecision, believing what the Enemy says about us, accepting whatever name society calls us and being controlled by what is called our Toddler Brain (our untrained brain).

I believe shame is the #1 reason why we do not fully receive and absolutely believe in The Work of The Cross.

The phrase, "I am a sinner saved by Grace" is a Shame Phrase.

This phrase keeps us connected to our Old Master.

Keeps us attached to Our Dead Man.

Keeps us on the other side of The Cross.

Keeps us thinking about US, instead of HIM.

Saying, “I am a sinner saved by Grace” is like…

* The caged bird that sings about being imprisoned, but the cage doors are wide open

* The elephant who stands in one place and never explores because of the chain that USED TO BE anchoring her into that one spot.

* The adoptive child who introduces themselves as “I am adopted, this is not my real Dad and I want everyone to remember that I was once unloved, unsafe and without A Name.”

The problem is NEVER what God has not Done.

The problem is NEVER what I have not Done or what I have Done.

My Problem is always, always, always FAITH.

Yes, sometimes practically I need a sandwich or a nap or a good conversation with a friend BUT, well, I think you get the picture I am trying to paint!

I want to clarify the Above Point about “The problem is NEVER what I have Not Done or what I have Done”.

By that I mean there is no WORK I Accomplished to gain this beautiful gift of Salvation AND there is not WORK I can ever Do in order to maintain His Salvation.

What makes me think that I can continue the beautiful work of salvation within me by now taking control of the mystical and scandalous good work of Jesus within me?

IF I did NO-THING for my Salvation except BELIEVE then how could SOME-THING (S) become a problem?

I repeat: The problem cannot be about what I have or have not done.

IF BELIEF started His Good WORK within me THEN BELIEF will continue His WORK within me.

That is what this Podcast Message is about this Easter Week.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6 NIV)

Judas Felt Bad, While Peter Believed

Judas betrayed Jesus. Yet! Jesus did not kick Judas out of The Discipleship Group. Jesus did not reject Judas and still celebrated a deeply spiritual celebratory meal with him.

We can read about Peter’s blatant denial of Jesus but often forget that it also says EVERY disciple Denied Jesus. Yet!!! Jesus still chose every one of those 11 Deniers to carry His Message to the world.

Why then do we constantly FEEL like Jesus is getting ready to ask God to UnAdopt Us? To kick us out of His Family? To punish us somehow for us Being Human?

And speaking of Judas. Again, we often forget that Judas felt bad for the decisions he made and took back the 30 pieces of silver he was paid to betray Jesus.

Feeling Bad about your actions does not solve anything! Believing God is loving, good and forgiving SOLVES everything.

This series called AGAPE YOURSELF has been one of the most powerful series of messages I have ever taught.

And, it is one of those teachings that regularly gets the most pushback when I share it.

I believe the pushback is so hard because Christians still live in so much shame because they struggle with Comprehending and Receiving God’s ridiculous, scandalous love.

And, THIS makes it hard to love OURselves, which makes it hard to love others well.

IF you do not believe you are Blessed by God then you will not pursue or enjoy success. Why? Because true success comes FROM His blessings.

If you do not believe you are Designed for Good Works then you will not pursue or enjoy sucecss. Why? Because you will have your nose to the grindstone working hard to “get” something instead of leaning into your Design and living from that (which just may be the greatest success ever!).
