Where have I been and what I have been doing, you ask? I've been finding myself! I'm super excited to share this episode with you as I took a step back to really focus on my journey and marinate in the new things I've realized about myself, my achievements, my peace and my chaos. For the first time in months, I feel like I've made progress. Let's talk about it!
Perfectionism has made its way into our culture and it's scary how strong it has impacted it. The "That Girl" aesthetic is just one of the many manifestations of the impossible standards we've set for ourselves to attain "true happiness". Let's talk about it.

It goes without saying that we are all over the moon excited that the world is reopening. We've all been seeing our friends again and catching up with our loved ones, but it's been hard for me to not compare myself to other people's progress in the last two years. Let's talk about how I've been protecting myself from the insecurities trying to ruin my peace of mind.

The A in Type A stands for Anxiety! This week I want to talk about the departure of my favorite character from my favorite show and how she has really inspired me this past week. Characters with that neurotic Type A personality (Amy Santiago, Monica Geller, Annie Eddison, etc.) seem to have their whole lives together when really they're just as messed up as the rest of us, only packaged prettier. With that, let's talk about it.

I finally started journaling as I learn more and more about the practice of mindfulness. I realized it's not as easy as it seems and it's actually put me in a crisis of who I am and who I am not. I've also finally come to a definition of "Peace" that feels right to me and hope to carry it out in my journey more mindfully. ALSO! I have a new favorite movie <3

Let's get nostalgic! Jen has been one of my closest friends since we were freshmen in high school, and is one of the last few friends I kept contact with from there too. Since we are now seniors in college, I wanted to look back at all that we've been through to become the women we are today. We talk about growing apart, losing friendships that we thought would last forever and accepting the next chapter in our lives. How did we manage to hold onto each other despite the many changes post-high school? Let's talk about it!

Not much reflecting or lessons this episode, just me, my thoughts, and my 30 minute spiral. This is what it sounds like on the other end of the phone when I ask "can I call?"
