Every June, Christians are faced with questions about Pride Month, sexuality, identity, and how to faithfully engage a culture with deeply different beliefs. In this episode, we explore how followers of Jesus can respond with both conviction and compassion. We discuss why conversations around LGBTQ identity often feel so personal, how modern ideas of empathy have reshaped the discussion, and what it means to genuinely love people without affirming every belief or behavior.
Looking to the example of Jesus and the teaching of Scripture, we examine how Christians can meet people where they are while also challenging ideas that stand opposed to the gospel. We also address some of the most common questions and objections surrounding this topic, including whether the Bible speaks about homosexuality, why sexual ethics matter, questions of nature versus choice, and the claim that “love is love.” Our hope is to help believers navigate Pride Month with truth, grace, wisdom, and a heart that reflects Christ.
