First, The plaintiff dated the defendant, but they broke up after he learned she was addicted to crack. They got back together after she went to rehab, and they got married. The plaintiff says the defendant relapsed, and he’s seeking help for her. He’s also suing for unpaid loans. The defendant admits she has a crack addiction, but she says she would put in more effort into her recovery if she ever met Judge Mathis.

Then, The plaintiff says her son dated the defendant’s mother when they were 16, and she believes the defendant is her grandson. Her son passed away before they could establish paternity, so she is petitioning for a DNA test. The defendant says the plaintiff and her son weren’t in his life, but he’s looking for some closure.
