When murders such as Martin's, Jordan Edwards and many other young children occur, we never know who they could have become in life. This has led us to live in a world where the terms "on behalf of" and "what if" are used too often.

Today Alabama Governor Robert Bentley has resigned from office. After allegations of an affair and misuse of state funds arose, an impeachment trial was set to begin on Monday, April 10th, 2017.

Lt. Governor Kay Ivey has now been sworn in as governor, making her only the second woman to become governor of Alabama.

Although this is an embarrassing day for the state, Alabamians will now to try to move forward from this scandal.

Selma52, commemorating Bloody Sunday on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL, was a phenomenal experience for me. To March across the very bridge that lead to one of the most horrific scenes on television during the civil rights era was surreal. Nothing compares to this experience in history.

Now that Selma52 is in the books, many wonder whether Selma53 happen. After what I heard during several speeches made, it could very well be in jeopardy.
