You remember when we talked about WALL•E a bunch in our first few episodes, but before we had enough structure to make into an entry in a mini series? Well, now that we have that structure (and Lucas has actually watched the movie) we decided to revisit it, 80ish episodes later! Did the humans merge with their chairs and become the Carfolk we know and love? Did the robots take over and become even more capable of emotion, speech, and sick racing maneuvers? Or maybe, it was some sort of sick combo of the two....

My first thought was to theme the episode description around the Pokérap, but then I remembered that is 95% just Pokémon names with some singing in between, and that doesn't really translate into a, ya know, podcast episode description. Anyway, in honor of Pokémon's 25th anniversary, we decided to go ahead and do a full episode on the franchise that has been with us for a majority of our lives and how it could relate the franchise that we have forced ourselves to be obsessed with for the past couple of years.

So in the Carsverse, there are characters like Jay Limo and Boat Reynolds that are just car versions of real life people. So... what's up with that? Join us as we discuss the implications of these dopplegangers, including a large amount of evidence from a promotional Youtube video in which 2 children berate professional NASCAR drivers about the process of being physically transformed into Cars in order to make tiny toys of their Carsonas. Oh, also we do a tiny Or-Engine story on The Iron Giant? It's kinda a big episode.

Listen. This is an entire episode on parking. But like.... parking is important to cars! So what's up with that in Cars??? Somehow we manage to fill our time on that, and we do so by diving into their relationship with sleep, personal belongings, and property itself. We also do that by going on an extended Westworld analogy. So.... a pretty good episode, all told.

This week, we're knocking out all things Harry Potter, what it's like as a story in the Carsverse, what magic would be like, and we even throw a mini Or-Engine in there, just as a treat! My God. It finally happened. After almost two years of doing this podcast (not to mention the almost two years before that of talking about doing this podcast) Pixar has deemed fit to give us fresh, new Cars content. Of course... What they gave us were two shorts whose combined runtime totals at less than four minutes and are completely without dialogue. So we're really gonna have to reach for this one. Oh well! Look out folks, we're coming at you from 2021! To celebrate the need to buy a new calendar, we decided to both go through how we feel the Cars would celebrate the New Year, as well as setting a few New Cars Revolutions ourselves. (Like resolutions. This pun was a bit of a stretch.) And you'd be surprised, by the end of the episode, we've already accomplished one of the goals we set for ourselves.
