Actor, Singer, Dancer and all-around positive person, Lise Cormier, is the most recent kickbutt lady to lend her voice! 

Lise grew-up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and moved to Toronto shortly after signing up for a Philippe Gaulier Clown Workshop. (He’s a famous Master Clown who Sasha Baron Cohen aka Borat also studied with.) 

Lise can be seen on Netflix’ ‘The Umbrella Academy.’ Her voice is incredible. She’s a trained singer and the show allows her to show this off. 

Lise and her main squeeze, Kenton, made me a delicious dinner and then we chatted about feminism, three-dimensional female characters, her musician parents and more!

The next guest is Naomi Snieckus! 

I had the chance to sit down with Naomi  while she was in my hometown, Sault Ste. Marie, for the festival that actor Tim Progosh put on called ‘The WTF Festival.’ 

You likely know Naomi from ‘Mr. D’, ‘Designated Survivor,’ ‘The Casting Room’ or ‘Being Erica’ (just to name a few!) Her and Matt Baram hosted ‘A Night of Hilarity and Awe,’ which featured comedians and magicians and comedian magicians! Their improv performances had my sister and I and the other audience members rolling. These two are just something so special and you have to catch them performing live together and on tv on the show ‘Carter.’ 

Naomi is such a kickbutt lady. Aside from acting, writing and producing for stage and film/tv, she also created ‘The Firecracker Department’ podcast and community. It’s the ultimate celebration of kickbutt ladies uniting through art and sisterhood.

Emily Kindred is a fantastic, motivated and driven female filmmaker. She acts in front of the camera and also is a pretty badass Producer behind the camera. She recently began Directing, as well, starting with a directing workshop in Canada and then teaching kids filmmaking in India. I can’t wait to see the film she Directed there with the kids. 

 I look forward to having her back on the podcast to talk about her filmmaking endeavours. Here, we just ate some popcorn, wore some flannel onesies and let the conversation flow...

I sat down with childhood friend, Elise Nelson. Elise lives in Sault Ste. Marie and brings so much to the community. She created a company called Girl Friday which promotes artists and bands. She brings some great talent to Sault Ste. Marie through this passion and artistic venture of hers. Elise also works full-time and raises the cutest little boy with her partner, Luke. (Luke Dufour also does amazing things for Sault Ste. Marie!) 

We chatted about work, Sault Ste. Marie, our upbringing (like Clothing Wars with our sisters) and vintage furniture. We indulged in a little red wine and a lot of cheese and salami.

I sat down with the lovely Adrienne Boutin in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. (Where we both grew-up and call home.)
