The Versace brand embodies a sharp duality of glamour, couture, and street that Vitale artfully pays homage to in his Spring 2026 campaign.
Correction: Dario Vitale was appointed as creative director of Versace in March 2025.

In this episode of Kiki of Fashion, I share my thoughts on Jaden Smith’s debut in menswear at Christian Louboutin. The move feels both bold and cool, injecting instant edge into a brand whose men’s collections have struggled to fully capture the energy and direction of modern men’s footwear.

Welcome to The Kiki of Fashion, our first episode of 2026. In our opinion, Chanel’s New York City show closed out the year with beautiful clothes but missed the opportunity for a true NYC takeover. Plus, we’re spotlighting Olivier Rousteing’s incredible tenure as Balmain’s Creative Director as an era comes to a close.

Welcome back to The Kiki of Fashion! This week we’re talking about the NikeSkims launch and what I think it’s really about. Louise Trotter’s Bottega debut was chic and assured, Dario Vitale's Versace ate with a playful, sexy 80s retro disco vibe, and Demna’s fabulous Gucci reveal.

Several shades of Louis Vuitton's $160 lipsticks are already selling out, proof that heritage brands can flex into new categories. By contrast, Alo's move into high-end leather bags feels like a bigger gamble.
The wellness baddie fit is already complete with a Chanel, Louis V, or Hermès on the arm. Can Alo really rewrite that code? Or in TikTok terms: "Lulu who? Alo me or Louis V?" The real question is whether Alo can level up from leggings to high-end accessories.

I wanted to record this for a while as a statement of appreciation and a response to how the term streetwear has been used to diminish. When Recho from The Cutting Room Floor called Noah a streetwear brand and the founder flinched, it reminded me how often brands resist the label. This episode highlights women’s streetwear, Snobette and Highsnobette, connects Virgil, Pharrell, and Chris Gibbs to the global rise of streetwear, with shoutouts to Sole DXB, SN3 Studio, and Streetsouk.
