The past. It's something we all have and, since we're human, we don't always make the best decisions. We're human beings, and as such, we're prone to mistakes and failures. We do things we're not proud of. We act in ways that sometimes hurt or harm other people, sometimes we even do so intentionally. Or maybe we've been the victim of someone else hurting us and we blame ourselves. 

But what does this do to us over time? How does carrying around our past failures and mistakes hurt us and what can we do about it?  In today's episode I talk about the importance of forgiving ourselves for our past and I discuss a couple of partial exercises you can go through to begin the healing process and forgive yourself for these short comings.

It occurred to me that there are many aspects of Stockholm Syndrome and what goes on inside the mind of an obese person, our associations to food, to social situations, our bodies, and so forth.
