What if the key to growing your business isn't doing more, but doing less?
In this episode of the Kingdom Legacy Blueprint Podcast, I sit down with my good friend Richard Cardenas, founder of Joleh's Creations, to talk about faith, family, entrepreneurship, and the power of focusing on what you do best.
What started as making custom T-shirts for family birthday parties became a business after Richard's young daughter encouraged him to start selling his creations. He and his wife eventually named the business after their daughter's middle name, building something that reflects their Christian values and their desire to create together as a family.
Today, Joleh's Creations has explored custom apparel, decals, hats, interactive hat bars, and 3D printing. But along the journey, Richard and his wife discovered an important lesson: you can't be great at everything.
We discuss why they've decided to niche down, refine their services, and explore new opportunities in the B2B marketplace while continuing to involve their children in the entrepreneurial journey.
In this conversation, we discuss:
How a daughter's simple encouragement sparked a business
Building a family business rooted in Christian values
The advantages and challenges of working with your spouse
Teaching children entrepreneurship, finances, and responsibility
Why offering too many services can hurt your focus
The power of niching down and becoming a specialist
Exploring B2B opportunities and building stronger client relationships
Creative products, custom apparel, hat bars, and 3D printing
Why you shouldn't wait for everything to be perfect before starting
Overcoming fear and taking your first step as an entrepreneur
Richard also shares how participating in one of my business challenges helped him and his wife begin refining their business direction.
Whether you're just starting your business or trying to scale something you've already built, this conversation is a reminder that clarity, focus, and consistent action matter.

Can you love God, serve faithfully in ministry, and still struggle with anxiety, depression, burnout, or emotional exhaustion?
Absolutely. And it's time for the Church to have this conversation.
In this episode of the Kingdom Legacy Blueprint Podcast, I sit down with my good friend Rosalyn Bates, founder of RosGarden Productions LLC, a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 21 years of experience in mental health and more than 11 years of pastoral experience.
Rosalyn has a unique calling that brings together biblical faith, pastoral care, mental health education, and leadership development to help pastors, ministry leaders, educators, and teams flourish.
We explore why mental health conversations are essential within Christian communities, how unresolved emotional struggles can affect leadership, and why seeking professional support doesn't mean you've abandoned your faith.
I also share some of my personal experiences with ministry burnout, the pressure of leading while building businesses, and the importance of creating healthy rhythms for ourselves and our families.
In this conversation, we discuss:
- Why Christians sometimes struggle to acknowledge mental health challenges
- The relationship between biblical faith, pastoral care, and professional counseling
- What King David's experiences reveal about emotional suffering
- How pastors and ministry leaders can recognize and prevent burnout
- Why therapy and spiritual growth don't have to compete
- How Rosalyn transitioned from music ministry consulting into mental health and leadership development
- Practical ways churches can support people and families experiencing crises
- Why delegation, alignment, boundaries, and self-care are essential for sustainable leadership
- The importance of protecting creative space in your life

What if the greatest obstacle to your calling isn't failure—but comfort?
In this special conversation, I sit down with Phyllis Calderon to talk about her new book, *Stop Sitting and Stand: When Faith Demands Movement, Not Comfort*.
Phyllis brings a powerful message for anyone who knows God has called them to something but has found themselves stuck in fear, hesitation, procrastination, familiarity, or comfort.
Faith was never meant to stay seated.
In this conversation, we talk about what it means to recognize when God is calling you to move, how comfort can quietly become a barrier to obedience, and why sometimes the next step isn't about having everything figured out—it's about being willing to stand and move when God speaks.
Phyllis shares from her journey as an author, musician, educator, and woman of faith, while we explore the biblical principles behind Stop Sitting and Stand and how they apply to purpose, business, ministry, creativity, and everyday life.
We talk about:
• Why comfort can become a spiritual barrier
• The difference between waiting on God and avoiding obedience
• Fear, procrastination, and spiritual stagnation
• Moving forward when you don't have all the answers
• What it means to trust God enough to take the next step
• How faith grows through movement, not perfection
• Responding courageously to God's calling
• What it means to stop sitting and stand
If you've been saying, "One day I'll start," "I'm waiting for the right time," or "I just need a little more confirmation," this conversation may challenge you to examine whether God is already asking you to move.
The season of sitting has ended.
It's time to stand.

You can have vision and never execute.
You can know what to focus on and still get distracted.
You can know the power of leverage and never use it.
Knowledge alone is not enough. At some point, you have to DO THE WORK.
In this final teaching from my Legacy Wall series, we're talking about DISCIPLINE and one of my favorite principles from Jim Rohn:
“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.”
Throughout this series, we’ve explored principles from Scripture along with lessons from Steve Jobs, Myron Golden, Graham Cochrane, Kobe Bryant, and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. But none of those principles matter if we don't develop the discipline to consistently put them into practice.
In this episode, I break down the biblical principles behind discipline, diligence, sowing and reaping, self-control, consistency, and doing the work God has called you to do.
We’ll look at lessons from David and Solomon, Daniel, Paul, Proverbs, and my own journey of building businesses, losing nearly 100 pounds, raising a family, and learning to structure my life around the future God is calling me toward.
Success isn't simply one massive decision.
It's the accumulation of small disciplines practiced consistently.
And failure can work the same way.
The question is: What are you practicing every day?

What if the reason you’re stuck isn’t because you need to work harder—but because you’re building your future based on your past?
Dr. Benjamin Hardy teaches a powerful principle: instead of thinking toward your goal, learn to think and act FROM your goal.
In this episode of Kingdom Legacy Blueprint, I break down how this principle has transformed the way I think about business, scaling, focus, identity, and the future God has called me toward.
We’re talking about:
• Why your future can become a tool for changing your present
• Why 10X doesn’t mean doing 10X more work
• How bigger goals expose ineffective strategies
• Why scaling often begins with subtraction, not addition
• The Frame, Floor, Focus framework
• How to raise your standards and eliminate what no longer belongs
• Why your goals can shape your decisions without determining your worth
• How Abraham gives us a biblical picture of stepping toward a future before knowing the entire path
• Why “Who Not How” matters when building something bigger than yourself
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is this:
Your future may require you to stop doing things that your past self was completely comfortable doing.
Some opportunities are good—but they don’t belong in the future you’re building.
So here’s your assignment:
Write down what you actually want.
Then ask yourself:
What would have to be true within three years?
What am I doing right now that can’t take me there?
What do I need to stop doing?
WHO do I need to help me get there?
What needs to become my new floor?
And most importantly:
WHO DO I HAVE TO BECOME?

Everybody wants greatness.
Everybody wants the successful business, financial freedom, impact, influence and legacy.
But Kobe Bryant asked the harder question:
Are you willing to make the sacrifices necessary to achieve it?
In this episode of Kingdom Legacy Blueprint, I break down Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Mentality and what Christian entrepreneurs can learn from his relentless pursuit of discipline, preparation, persistence and mastery.
But this isn't about waking up at 4 AM just to say you did it.
It's about identifying what God has called you to do, eliminating what doesn't belong, counting the cost and giving your best to the assignment He's placed in your hands.
We’ll break down three powerful biblical principles:
COUNT THE COST — What will your assignment require?
DROP THE WEIGHT — What do you need to release?
RUN TO WIN — What disciplines do you need to embrace?
We’ll also talk about Kobe’s intense preparation, his constant pursuit of improvement, what he told Matt Barnes about his “next 20 years,” and why the work nobody sees often determines the results everybody eventually sees.
Then I’ll walk you through a simple Greatness Audit:
1. What does this require me to DO?
2. What does this require me to STOP DOING?
3. Who do I have to BECOME to sustain it?
The question isn't simply whether you want the next level.
Are you willing to pay the price required to steward it?

What if the reason your business isn't growing isn't because you need to work harder?
What if you're simply working hard on the wrong things?
Business coach Graham Cochrane says:
“It doesn't take any strategy or intelligence to just work all the time. It takes way more creativity and diligence to stop doing #AllTheThings, evaluate what activities in your business actually lead to more consistent sales, and then do only those things.”
That idea has radically changed the way I think about entrepreneurship.
Because busy is not the same as productive.
In this episode of Kingdom Legacy Blueprint, we're talking about essentialism — identifying the small number of activities that actually create growth, revenue and transformation, and eliminating everything else that's stealing your time, energy and focus.
I recently spent five days inside Graham Cochrane's 10K Offer Challenge and had the opportunity to receive direct coaching from him.
One of the biggest lessons?
Diluted focus produces diluted results.
Graham challenged me to simplify:
One thing.
One who.
One offer.
One transformation.
And that doesn't only apply to the number of businesses you're running.
It applies to everything inside your business.
Your emails.
Meetings.
Social media.
Funnels.
Content.
Offers.
Admin.
Products.
Tasks.
The question isn't:
“How can I get all of this done?”
The better question is:
“What doesn't need to get done at all?”
In this episode, you'll learn:
Why working longer hours doesn't necessarily produce business growth
How to identify the activities that actually produce revenue
Why specialization creates clarity and authority
What Graham Cochrane taught me personally about narrowing my focus
How the 80/20 principle applies to your business
How to decide what to eliminate, automate or delegate
Why entrepreneurs need a stop-doing list
How Sabbath and rest can actually improve your productivity
Why Mary and Martha provide a powerful biblical example of essentialism
How to build around one person, one offer and one transformation
I also share my own journey of trying to juggle multiple businesses, opportunities and ideas — and what happened when I finally started stripping away the things that weren't essential.
Here's your challenge:
Look at everything you did in your business over the last 30 days.
Then ask:
What actually produced sales?
What actually moved the business forward?
What should be eliminated?
What could be automated?
What should be delegated?
And what deserves your full attention?
Your next level may not require MORE effort.
It may require greater focus.

What if making MORE money could actually be easier than making a little money over a long period of time?
Dr. Myron Golden teaches a counterintuitive principle that completely changes the way we think about income:
“It’s easier to make a lot of money in a short period of time than it is to make a little money over a long period of time.”
But that doesn't mean money magically appears.
It means bigger goals force you to abandon low-leverage strategies.
In this episode of Kingdom Legacy Blueprint, I'm breaking down the difference between trading your time for money and creating high-value solutions that can scale.
We unpack Myron Golden's four levels of value:
Implementation
Unification
Communication
Imagination
And then we actually do the math.
If you charge $30 for one hour with one person, you make $30.
But what happens when your expertise allows you to serve 10 people during that same hour?
What happens when you stop selling your time altogether and begin selling transformation, intellectual property, systems, frameworks and scalable solutions?
That's when the math changes.
In this episode, you'll learn how to stop thinking only in hourly income, use leverage to increase your earning potential, price based on transformation rather than your previous salary, build scalable offers, move toward higher levels of value, and think strategically about what God has already placed inside of you.
We also look at Joseph in Scripture and how God gave him a solution that created massive economic value during a famine. One strategic solution didn't just serve Joseph — it positioned him to help sustain nations.
So here's the question:
What problem has God equipped YOU to solve?
Your next level may not require working more hours.
It may require creating more value.

What if the reason your business isn't growing isn't because you're doing too little… but because you're doing too much?
Steve Jobs famously said:
“People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are… Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.”
That principle transformed Apple — and I believe there is a powerful lesson here for Kingdom entrepreneurs.
In this episode of Kingdom Legacy Blueprint, we're breaking down the power of FOCUS.
When Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, the company was struggling, its product line had become complicated, and it had lost direction. One of his major moves was simplification: eliminate distractions, reduce the number of products, and focus Apple's resources on doing a few things exceptionally well.
And we see principles of focus throughout Scripture.
Nehemiah refused to come down from the wall because he was doing a great work. Gideon's army was reduced to 300. David received the blueprint for the temple but understood that Solomon was called to build it. Paul said, “one thing I do,” as he pressed toward the goal.
Sometimes the next level doesn't require adding something.
It requires eliminating something.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why good ideas can still become distractions
How Steve Jobs used focus to help turn Apple around
Why innovation requires elimination
What Nehemiah teaches us about refusing distractions
How Gideon's 300 demonstrates the power of strategic reduction
Why some God-given ideas may be for another person or another season
How delegation allows you to stay within your unique assignment
Why entrepreneurs need to identify what actually produces results
How to determine what deserves your focus right now
You don't have to execute every good idea God gives you today.
Some ideas need to be delegated.
Some need to wait for another season.
Some may belong to the next generation.
And some simply need to be eliminated.
The question is:
What is the ONE thing God is calling you to focus on right now?
Drop it in the comments.
