And...we react to Nintendo's decision to lay off hundreds of contract employees from the contact center. We wrap it all up with questions from our wonderful Patreon subscribers! Hello! We've been playing the demo for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and liking it quite a bit but we can't help but see some similarities between this game and Mario Kart 8. So we're asking ourselves the question - is Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds the traditional kart racing game many people have been looking for since Mario Kart World is a bit of a different experience? Let's talk about it!

Hello and welcome to episode 188 of the Kit & Krysta Podcast! We are still thinking about the big Nintendo Direct last week and we want to dig deeper into people's reaction to the Direct. Tons of games were announced and Nintendo shared a lot of news but somehow, there are fans who still don't seem very excited about what's to come. Why is this? Is the Nintendo Direct formula, something that Nintendo started 10+ years ago, still working to meet Nintendo's goals when there are so many expectations placed on these presentations? We dig into the history and the original goals of a Direct and examine if it's still working for Nintendo. Also in this episode, we're playing a handful of new indie games and we discovered some new details about Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 on Nintendo Switch 2. We wrap it all up with questions from our wonderful Patreon subscribers. All this and more is coming right up!

Hi! In the Nintendo Direct last week, we saw some really amazing looking amiibo but then after we learned how much they would cost and we were a bit shocked. We wanted to look back at the history of amiibo and examine how things started with amiibo priced at $12.99 and now we're seeing amiibo priced at $49.99! A $50 amiibo is wild and is almost as expensive or sometimes even more expensive than most some games - so what happened? How did we get here? Let's discuss!

Hello! The rumor mill is spinning about a potential Nintendo Direct this week and that's got us thinking about leaks at Nintendo. Why are there SO many leaks coming out of Nintendo lately? It feels like over the last few years, everything Nintendo is about to announce leaks weeks if not months before they've had a chance to announce it. Why is this happening and what is the cause? Let's discuss!
