Hello again Fellow Golfists, 

Well its May and that means that it is PGA Championship week from Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa Oklahoma.  In this episode, I offer a bit of trivia and how much it would cost me for some Boiling Hot Tulsa Style Southern Hills Ginger Ale.  

It is so sad to not see Phil back to defend his title.

I hope that this event really goes well and is able to push the other tour stuff into the corner that it belongs in.

It was really awesome to be able to sit and talk while watching a really great golf tournament.   The Masters is my favorite golf tournament that happens every April.   The Masters makes April bearable every year.  It was brilliant to be able to watch Scottie Scheffler keep his head leveled, calm, and cool throughout this week.  

He is a good kid from a really good family from Dallas Texas and is a great Masters Champion!!  

Congratulations Scottie Scheffler on his first ever major championship win!!

Today I was watching some of the final day of the Dell Technologies Match Play Championship at Crenshaw National in Austin Texas.  Scottie Scheffler looks quite sharp and very promising to win this week on the PGA Tour against Steve Kinser.  Corey Conners looks like he is in control in his match against Dustin Johnson.   

Next week is the Valero Texas Open from TPC San Antonio in San Antonio Texas.  
Its 2 weeks till The Masters!!

Here is an episode where the host was able to finally get in some thoughtful watching with commentary in during the 3rd round of the 2022 Players Championship.  This year has shown to be a very erratic weather weekend in northeast Florida.  Round 4 will not conclude on Sunday but they at least were able to show a little bit of coverage of the 3rd round on Sunday.  This episode ended with a bang when a certain Irish person did good.

Hello again Golfists, 

Get ready for a long and painstaking year full of golf stuff from The Knackered Golfist Podcast.  I made this episode because I was inspired and also for me to have material to listen to on the way to work.  

In this episode I did a bit of reflecting on stuff from my golfing past and remembered what it was like to be in the company of people on the golf course, and for Steve Kovich to give me a shout out.  I'd like to have that chap on as a guest but I don't know if he's thawed out yet.

Hello Fellow Golfists,

Excited to share a new addition to my golf club collection.  I just published a new video for The Knackered Golfist on YouTube.  I purchased a Titleist Tour Model forged bladed 1 iron.  

And in this episode I rambled on about wanting to have a golf buddy who could possibly be located in the Greater Sacramento California Metropolitan area.  I have not had a consistent golf friend to maybe go to the range with or to even play 9 or 18 holes with.  I also don't think beer and golf mix well.  Anyway, I shared opinions of why golfers aren't the most sociable folks out there and why I wish golfers were more friendly.  I do appreciate their input on the page that I started called the Forged Golf Club Appreciation page on the Bookface.  I consider myself to be a golf enthusiast / mentalist because I enjoy podcasting and making videos that are about golf history from the past the present and the future.  I admit to being a golf mentalist. 

I wish that a new golf ball could be developed to allow the vintage golf club enthusiast to play a ball that allows the golfer to feel what the classic wound balata ball felt like back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's.  I wish to play a ball that spins more and that can be artistically shaped in the air after being struck with a forged blade.  There is a definite piece of historic golf artistry that I deeply miss when it comes to seeing shots that were shaped in the air after being struck with a historic forged bladed golf club.

Hello again Fellow Golfists,

In this episode I made a recording while I was coming home from work trying not to get lost.  We finally had a bit of rain to bring us out of the drought.  Not!!  

I found a brilliant partial set of forged blades at my local Goodwill store.  These clubs are so good that I bought the other 2 clubs that were missing from the set.  I found a balata golf ball in my bucket of range balls at Sacramento National and decided to pocket it and putt with it on the green.  I also made contact recently with a popular guest on this podcast and he is doing well.  

Also met a golf coach at what I affectionately call "Sacramento National" Golf Course but it is actually called Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.  We discussed a few topics and I was thankful to hear an updated perspective regarding new things going on at this particular driving range.  I appreciate the opportunity to do this podcast and I hope that with a bit of irreverence there can be opportunities for others to be podcast guests in the future.
