We introduce our two guests today, and establish why we are forming up to do this bank job. Welcome Pablo and Mabel.

I try to troll Jason about his videos and call back to transcendentalism. Talk diverges to Newton, Mills, and Hobbs and Lock.

We start off trying to take turn with Pablo going first, but it becomes a bit of a free for all, with Walther hogging the conversation. List of games will be found at the end of the show notes.

We start off talking about why everyone hates, but Walther hates Stardew Valley. Then Pablo shows off some of the Warhammer figures he has been painting. After a discussion of 3D printers and not encouraging Walther, Jason has a chance to say what phone based games that he has been playing.

We go once more around the microphone and talk about any games that we might have missed. Of course we then start talking about D&D, and why Drist is OP. Then we find out that Mable is clueless about DragonLance. Spelljammer was Walther's Jam.

If you could make a game, what game would you make? There is another round talking about what video game you would love to make.

After some lengthy follow up about the cars, video games, and trees, Walther gives an update from February on how he fared in the cold Weather without power. Then the conversation gets on to self-reliance and, in part, what role the government should play in our lives. There is of course some talk of video games Jason and Carl where playing back in February, don’t worry there is follow up to come, as well as what exactly is transcendentalism.

After a quick check in on the list of responsibilities, we introduce or quest Sarah Testone, Zelda Expert extraordinaire.

We each take turns explaining why we love the whole Zelda Franchise.

Jason is confused about Lynel, so Sarah and Walther informant him on what must be one of the toughest and scariest enemies in Zelda.

## Burning Bushes in The Wilderness

Not all Zelda games are instant classics or dearly beloved, so we must talk about The Adventures of Link and it is placed in the Cannon.

A few strangler topics here as the crew gets back on topic.

Jason asks the import question, what is the main story arc of all of the Zelda Franchise, and Sarah delivers.

## Skyward Sword

We cover the three Zelda releases of the 2000's Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess. We start with a discussion of Ocarina of Time, and why Sarah thinks it's half finished game and Majora's Mask is a better game. The use of dream as a adjective confuses Jason, but Sarah and Walther are able to set him straight.

Walther starts off by failing the challenge of naming the three parts of the Triforce. Then the disgusting switches to what is in the middle of the Triforce. But we get back on track talking about Majora's Mask.

We start raping up the episode by talking about Wind Waker, one of Walther favorit games. Jason gives us a live demonstration as to why this game was so controversial.

Two more games to go, this time we talk about Twilight Princess, the most Goth of all the Legend of Zelda games. This launches us into brief discussion of unrealistic portrayals of women in video games and a longer discussion about Zelda gender fluidity in Ocarina of Time.

Walther asserts that Breath of the Wild is the best Zelda Game, despite its lack of a story. Sarah and Walther put the hard sale on Jason that he needed to play this game. The conversation flows to what makes this game so great, including in huge tracts of land, and how there is not one correct way to play the game. This Zelda is the best, because it lets you do what you want.

Walther asks the question, where we are happy with the end of Breath of the Wild, and what does not line up more with his Fan Fic. Again there is the hard sale to Jason, telling him you can ride a bear. As with all things on the internet the discussion falls into speculations of the future and what does half a second of footage in a trailer mean.

Sorry that it's been so long between episodes, this was a long one. The next episode has been recorded, and I will get it out to you in hopefully two weeks.

Jason and Walther have established some responsibilities upfront before launching into what becoming a theme for this podcast Racism. Namely the racism in how the Obama administration is viewed. The second topic of the episode is almost as contentious as Jason argues with Carl over his indifference to teaching facts in the classroom. They wrap up the show talking about who made the biggest contribution to the English Literature.

Jason and Walther agree upon what Jason responsibilities for the show are.

Walther talks about how he got the filmography wrong. This leads to a discussion of his history and Walther being a Jerk. They also circle back to what the name of Hollywood Jobs are.

Given that Jason has no Question for me this time, we launch right into some heavy questions.

Why do people hare Obama?

Right off the bat we get into a heavy conversation, Walther feels like he is not prepared for this, but Jason presses him to answer anyway. In the end it comes down to racism.

The Conversation continues as Jason and Carl did into what makes this country tick. And more on why the backlash to the Obama Administration.

A look back at what Obama did while in Office

Walther and Jason get into it on wether facts or how we know the facts is the more important starting off point for education.

Jason make the strong argument that making a kid feel safe in his understanding is the best way in to having that student learn (Relational Trust). At some point Walther exposes the dark side of his education philosophy.

Walther talks about blackbody radiation.

How Lord Kelvin Did it. The conversation swings back to Racism and how facts are not enough by them selves.

Jason Points out the wisdom of his relative, and Walther's pursuit of Truth. At some point Walther exposes the dark side of his education philosophy.

Walther asked, "Who is the second most important writer in English Literature?" And then agrees with his wife's answer.

Jason and Walther talk about movies, or mostly why Walther is Critical of movies. Jason demands that Walther walk him though this failure of understanding multiple times through the episode, but in the end is left being told to pound sand. There is a little wood talk in the middle, and Jason closes up with a good discussion about the path to success and how to present that as a model to students.

It would not be a proper show if Jason did not have to go make his cup of right after we start recording. So let the tradition continue.

Walther talks about how he go the borough idea of strength vs density of metals wrong, and we learn a bit of latin. They turn the metal talk to wards knifes. Jason reveals that he now has a welder.

Jason and Carl talk about how he made the logo for the podcast, and the discussion moves to the script found within the logo and it's meaning.

Before Jason even gets to talk about his desk. We start the first of the three main topics of this week’s show. Like a dog with a bone, this topic never dies and we keep coming back to what is a good movie and what is a fun movie.

A ragtag group of podcaster is un able to stay on a single topic for long, and start talking about Affinity software again, but don't worry the topic of movies will come up again.

We change topics once again, this time for Walther to throw some shade. But this begins a set up for a future guess.

And we are back talking about Movies again. We are going to start off talking about Mulan. Jason uses this as an opportunity into understanding into how Walther thinks. More to come . . .

Jason is going to make a desk. We spend a lot of time talking about things you can not see.

Jason ask me about how I glue things up and what tools I use. Jason fancies him self as handy. Then the talk goes on to how to make legs easily so they do not look like shop furniture. The two of them finally figure out what a lap joint is.

Given that the main topics of the show already started in Follow up this chapter marker is just here for formality sake.

Jason once again comes back to the main theme of this show. He can't let it go on what Walther thinks is a movie. We get to the theme of this episode, our disagreement over the fifth element. Jason does not catch on, but Walther keeps rattling off movies that he has seen. Walther still holds Fifth Element as an 80's action movie / romance movie. There is some confusion over who is the star of the movie.

Our heros take a break from their movie talk to talk about Zelda and video games. Jason demonstrates his knowledge of the Zelda Franchise and gives more reason to bring an expert onto the pod cast.

Jason suggests I should watch 5th Element again and this launches us more into movie talk again. Walther tease again a story he has not told about naval ships. The Conversation turns to what is the proper use of Tropes in a movie. Jason suggests my problem is I don't like space. At the end of the day, go read a book and educate yourself.

The conversation shifts to the Mandalorian and how it is best viewed. Talking about this gets them into a conversation about space battle and the laws of Physics.

Walther tells of his trip to IKEA as a metaphor of the times we live in. But quickly the conversation turns to what can and can not be asked of your child inside your own house. Walther steers the ship back to our current dark future. Large problems take collective actions not individual responsibility.

Jason talks about his success in engaging people in his circle in political conversations. Walther brings up Nazis so by the rules of the internet loses the argument. Jason claims that "The Rock'' is a good movie. Jason talks about his political conversations by using the Parable of the American Muscle Car.

Godwin's Law

Walther has lunch to make, so he starts to end the show, little did he know that Jason has other plans. Jason has been Walther to do daily pushups, and Walther challenges Jason to join him in Inktober. Walther has ideas on how to make his Inktober Post something special and he has found people to make music for him.

Jason talks about how teaching in this new reality is going. The pace is relentless, and feedback is harder now. The new reality of teachers is shifting where the Locus of Control in Education is. Jason intrudes the idea that Fear is the Opposite of Success and the Jedi Code relevance in his life.

You Sniff Your Pants?!?

This was our second episode recorded and or last Demo Track before we started recording for real. While some of the conversations are a month our two dated, I still think this is a good feel for the report between Jason and Carl.

Walther is so vain, are you not glad we came up with a better name.

Walther declares his prowess. This leads to a discussion of advice from the Fools with Tools podcast on how to improve your packaging game.

What starts as a discussion on how you know if your pants are clean leads to a discussion of what makes a hipster, by Walther. From there the conversation leads to the maker mindset.

Jason and Walther talk about the protest in Portland in August. Being the political being that they are there is discussion of Trump's Narcissism, and Constitutional Concerns. They then go one to talk about the power of the vote.

What does the vote count for, why should you vote? Walther says radical things once again, and Jason is concerned on how to talk to people about this upcoming election.

Walther does so more armchair quarterbacking about how things work in military campaigns. What next is he going to try to start a land war in asia? Walther still holds that the framers of the Constitution did envision the politics of the day.

Jason is getting a new laptop issued to him by the school and this launches in to a discussion of how to do distance learning. There is a conversation about the differences between distance learning in our two States.

How to know if you are racist, and who benefits from racist ideas. Then we talk more about cops rioting. This launches Jason into an encounter with a neighbor and a lot of soul searching.
