Ok, you see that look on Jim Carrey's face? That is exactly how you will look for almost two hours if you decide to watch his latest film, "Dark Crimes". The movie was shot here in Krakow and you'll feel like shooting yourself after just fifteen minutes of this awful disgrace of a movie. John starts out by reading a 200-page list of the various ways "Dark Crimes" disappoints before Dave and Josh join in the group therapy needed to heal after watching one of the worst movies we've ever seen. If you didn't even know that Jim Carrey filmed a movie in Krakow, there are very good and understandable reasons for it and they're all listed here. Listen and decide if you want to take our advice and deny that "Dark Crimes" even exists or if you want to see this disaster for yourself (and then deny that it exists).

This time we jump into the subject of the controversial "500+" government program to promote and support families with kids. Is it a good idea or not? And why do we even have to pay people to have kids anyway? We then put things in the context of Polish politics and talk about how the program might have another agenda besides providing financial help for children. Unless it doesn't. We close by speculating about what might happen if any politician is brave enough to propose changing "500" to "0".

In this week's news, we begin by wondering if Krakow will ever have another Mayor other than the one we have now. Talk then turns to the Polish national football team and Dave's opinion about ski jumping, which we're still not sure about. After that, it's time to go global and talk about EU expansion (Albania?) (really?) (no offence) and statues in New Jersey. We finish with a warning for anyone with plans to go swimming near Gdansk in the next few years. 

In Part 2 of our talk with Marcin Jędrych, we start out by asking how radio still finds a place in an age where everybody has access to a world of music through their phones and about the secrets to RMF's success. He gives us a behind-the-scenes tour of the world of radio programming before the conversation turns to the subject of songs that he hopes to never hear again, "shitty drum machines" and a conversation with Phil Collins.

We had the pleasure of sitting down to chat with our first guest to have his own Wikipedia page—Marcin Jędrych, the well-known DJ and host of a number of programmes on RMF FM. In Part 1 of our interview, we start out by going all the way back to the mid-1980's to learn what it was like to be a dedicated music fan in those days and what Marcin had to do to keep up with the latest music. He also answers the question of whether or not 5,500zl is a good price for a Sting album and just how much money that was at the time. We then get started on the story of how Marcin first got his first chance at being a DJ and how owning of a lot of records and CD's is a great way to get a break in the world of radio.

We spoke with John Deverall, who visited Krakow from New Zealand in March of this year. During his stay, he fell victim to what he says is a criminal scam run by a number of nightclubs in Poland. In this case, what started with a simple invitation for a free drink resulted in nearly twenty thousand zloty missing from John's bank account and left him struggling to find anyone in authority who will take action against the club.  

We don't want to scare anyone away from a night out in Krakow but John's experience is a frightening reminder of what can happen when credit cards get mixed with alcohol and, John suggests, other substances.
