August 05, 2026A fatal crash involving a horse trailer slows traffic for hoursOHP says the crash occurred at the Sapulpa exit near Kellyville, causing traffic to be backed up for miles. OHP Lt. Mark Southall tells KRMG that a semi truck was parked on the outside shoulder when a truck pulling a trailer drifted off the roadway and hit the back of the semi. Both vehicles caught fire, and Southall says this is a fatality crash, but they aren't sure how many people have died. Two horses were removed from the trailer and one may have died. July 10, 2026Mother says a woman tried to kidnap her child right from her armsTulsa Police responded to a burglary in progress Thursday evening at a residence in North Tulsa. Officers say a mother and her three children were outside when 20-year-old Lilianna Gonzalez, and two males approached them. She said she was calling the police, and the two males ran off. That's when police say Gonzalez grabbed the 3-year-old child and attempted to kidnap her. Fortunately, the mother held onto her child and wouldn't let go. Reports say Gonzalez then entered the home through an unlocked door, and children, ages 6 and 10, were inside. A K-9 officer was released into the home, and Gonzalez was located and bitten by the dog. She was booked for 1st-Degree Burglary and Attempted Kidnapping. The Oklahoma legislators voted several bills into law that took effect this month, and some focus on education. House Bill 1276 adopts a bell-to-bell ban on cell phones in the classroom, and HB 3700 requires state educational institutions to adopt a policy that requires a student's grades to be evaluated solely on an academic basis and not opinions, beliefs or conduct of the student.
