This episode is conversation with one of the beloved Nepali singers Mr. Sunil Parajuli. In 1985, an album was released called Sunsaan Raat Ma which was a wonderful collaboration of our guest Mr. Sunil Parajuli along with other musicians such as Kishor Gurung, Sharad Gurung, Barry Shulman, Shantosh Singh and Bimal Basnet. The very first song in that album is called Aakashaima Chila Udyo which was an instant hit. The song would play in local radio station repeatedly, various FM stations and is still being played after 35 years since its release in various music platforms in and outside Nepal. In this episode we dive into how the song and the album was recorded and released and why the song is so loved by so many Nepalese all over the world. Just the fact that I was able to connect and talk to Mr. Sunil Parajuli was a surreal feeling for me.
