KVI's John Carlson interviews the organizer of the group Let's Go Washington (LetsGoWA.com), Brian Heywood, about their signature gathering campaign on 11 statewide initiatives to the Legislature that would force state lawmakers to address issues like Gov. Inslee's emergency COVID powers, the police reform law that prevents police from chasing some criminal suspects in vehicles, a 25-cent reduction in the gas tax, and making hard drug possession (i.e. meth and heroin) felony crimes. With the initiatives to the Legislature, if enough signatures are gathered the State House and Senate would have to agree to pass the initiative and if the lawmakers reject the initiative it would then go to voters on the statewide general election ballot in November of 2023. KVI's John Carlson calls the 11 initiative campaign "audacious" and Heywood says it would "fix all the stupid things that have been done for the last 10 years (in Washington)".
