Between long work days and packed calendars, it can be surprisingly easy to forget about taking care of yourself. Sometimes, when we're feeling stressed and running around taking care of everybody else, the healthiest thing we can do is to stop and consider how we can take care of ourselves. Most women do not realize that there is such a thing as Pelvic Floor Physical therapy or why it is important to have a Healthy Pelvic Floor. Your pelvic floor muscles are responsible for everything from supporting your organs, to helping you pee and poop, to allowing for pleasurable penetrative sex, so it makes sense that you might be thrown for a loop after you pushed out a baby. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a time to remember those impacted by the disease and promote early detection. Repeatedly, we hear the same questions and concerns from women about their breast health. Sugar causes cancer; underwire bras or shape wear shouldn't be worn; don't use deodorant; if there is no family history of breast cancer, I won't get it; I'm too young to get breast cancer … we hear the same misconceptions over and over. Social media doesn't help. Friends share fabricated cancer horror stories, and the epidemic of bad information intensifies. Everyone CHECK YOUR TITTIES because other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women.
