I often get asked the question, “If you could do anything differently when you first started your business, what would it be?” and without a doubt I wished I started building my email list from day 1!
Another question I often get is, “But as NWM we don’t need an email list, the company send out all the emails on our behalf,” …that is true but building an email list is not just about having your current customers on your list, it’s just as important to grow a list of potential customers.
What are you going to do once you run out of your warm market and have no one to contact anymore…where are you going to find people to talk to? Walk around the malls and hope to bump into someone that might be interested in what you have to offer?
No, my friend, that is not the way to do it!
Email marketing is one of the best and most effective ways to market your business. The best part is you are marketing to people that are looking for what you have to offer, which means they are your ideal customers.
I know a lot of people use social media to build their online businesses and network marketing businesses and that’s exactly what I do to, however the reality is we don’t own those social media platforms, Mark Zuckerberg does. And if he decides one day for whatever reason that he wants to turn those platforms off, how are you going to connect with your audience.
You own your email list and getting your audience to opt-in to your email list makes sure that you can stay in contact with them, no matter what.
Now it’s definitely going to take some time to start building an email list, but it will be so worth it in the end and a great investment of your time.
