What Will Future You Regret?
That's a statement.
It's also a question I think about often.
If you wake up this morning and do the same thing you did yesterday...
And you do the same thing tomorrow that you did today...
What's the cost of doing nothing?
For some people, doing the same thing is exactly what they should be doing. Keep it simple. Stay consistent. Let discipline compound over time.
The real question is this:
Are you becoming more aligned with what you want to be doing and who you want to become?
If not, that's the cost of doing nothing.
💭 Why the cost of doing nothing isn't about staying consistent—it's about staying misaligned.
⚖️ Why most people don't make transformational changes until the pain hurts enough or the incentive becomes big enough.
🥤 How the alcohol example helps coaching clients think differently about change, identity, and the person they want to become.
⏳ Why I encourage people to pull their future self into the present and ask:
"What will I regret 3, 5, 10, or 20 years from now?"
💪 A practical framework to help you create momentum instead of staying stuck in the same patterns.
What is the cost of doing nothing...
...in your health?
...your relationships?
...your career?
...your business?
...your life?
What are you continuing to do today that future you will regret?
How do you pull those future regrets into the present...
...and create action to build momentum?
...to get closer to alignment with what you want to be doing and who you want to become?
✔️ Keep it simple. Stay consistent.
✔️ The pain has to hurt enough, or the incentive has to be big enough.
✔️ Pull your future regrets into the present.
✔️ Create short-term wins that build momentum.
✔️ Get closer to alignment with who you want to become.
✔️ Your adversity doesn't have to keep you stuck. It can be the place that fuels your purpose.

Why the Best Way to Serve Others Is to First Maximize Yourself
This episode comes to you from a 5:00 AM walk, reflecting on three conversations I had this week—with coaching clients and a family member.
Although each situation was different, they all pointed back to the same principle:
Put yourself first before anyone and anything else. Everyone and everything should come second.
When you maximize your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, you're in the best position to show up for your spouse, your kids, your clients, your career, and the people who matter most.
🥤 A coaching client celebrates 21 days alcohol-free and shares why he finally woke up feeling energized, focused, and ready to seize the day.
💪 Why maximizing your health first allows you to become the best version of the man, husband, dad, and professional you want to be.
❤️ A conversation with a top-performing financial advisor navigating an intense season of caregiving, and why making an appointment with yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary.
🏕️ The power of getting away from the noise, creating space to rest, reset, and refresh before burnout takes over.
📝 How the Stop. Continue. Start. exercise can help you create better alignment in your life and business.
🔄 A conversation with a family member facing an unexpected job transition, and why you must focus on your controllables, trust the process, and make the next right decision.
• Are you making an appointment with yourself before everyone else?
• Are you maximizing your health so you can show up as your best self?
• What do you need to Stop?
• What do you need to Continue?
• What do you need to Start?
✔️ Put yourself first before anyone and anything else.
✔️ Maximize your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
✔️ Make an appointment with yourself.
✔️ Control your controllables.
✔️ Let go. Let God.
✔️ Make the next right decision.
✔️ Practice what you preach.

Three Reflections That Changed the Way I Think About Success, Gratitude, and Legacy
It's 5:00 AM on a Sunday morning.
The world is quiet. My family's still asleep. I'm out for my morning walk, and as the miles add up, so do the thoughts.
Today's episode isn't a keynote.
It's simply three reflections that have been on my mind after a week of speaking in Las Vegas, celebrating seven years alcohol-free, spending time with my 85-year-old uncle, and asking myself a question I believe all of us should ask more often...
What do I want to be known for?
If you're chasing success but don't want to lose sight of what matters most, this conversation is for you.
🚶 Doing what others aren't willing to do.
Why the habits nobody applauds—like a 5:00 AM walk—often become the foundation for everything else.
🎤 Celebrating the gain instead of living in the gap.
After speaking in Las Vegas, I caught myself thinking about how far I still have to go...
Then I remembered to stop and appreciate how far I've already come.
🥤 Seven years alcohol-free—even in Las Vegas.
Why I chose zero drinks, zero gambling, and why those decisions continue to help me become the man, husband, father, and speaker I want to be.
👴 A conversation with my 85-year-old uncle.
The questions I asked him about life, fulfillment, and regret—and why his answers challenged me to think about my own legacy.
Your calendar...
Your habits...
Your health...
Your relationships...
They're all telling a story.
Is it the story you want your life to tell?
If not...
What needs to STOP?
What needs to CONTINUE?
What needs to START?
Take five quiet minutes today.
Ask yourself:
👉 What do I want to be known for?
👉 Who matters most?
👉 What will my future self thank me for... or regret... because of the choices I make today?
Because your adversity doesn't have to keep you stuck.
It can become the very thing that fuels your purpose.

💥 Stop Waiting for the Perfect Plan. Start Taking Messy Action.
Lots of people think about what they want to do.
Lots of people think about who they want to become.
Very few people go from thinking... to taking action.
In this episode, I share one of the most common themes that comes up in my coaching conversations and keynote talks:
Messy action versus no action while you figure it out along the way.
Whether you're thinking about getting in better shape, launching a business, changing careers, earning a certification, or reinventing yourself in mid-life or mid-career, this episode is your reminder that confidence comes after you take action—not before.
🚶 Why messy action versus no action has become an anchor in my life and coaching.
💼 How I went from 22 years in Corporate America to becoming a full-time keynote speaker, performance coach, and author of Adversity Fuels Purpose.
🎤 Why I started speaking for free in high schools, men's groups, and nonprofits before ever stepping onto bigger stages.
💡 How taking small, consistent action gave me greater clarity, confidence, and competence.
🧠 Why waiting for the perfect plan, perfect timing, or perfect presentation keeps so many people stuck.
⏳ The power of asking your future self:
"What will I regret if I don't start today?"
📈 A real coaching story about momentum, hesitation, and why so many people stay stuck in their thoughts instead of taking the first step.
Maybe you're mid-year.
Maybe you're mid-life.
Maybe you're mid-career.
You've been thinking about making a change...
Starting a business.
Changing careers.
Getting healthier.
Reinventing yourself.
Where do you need to take messy action versus no action while you figure it out along the way?
✔️ Confidence is built through action—not before it.
✔️ Competence comes from repetition, feedback, and continual improvement.
✔️ Don't wait for every "T" to be crossed and every "I" to be dotted.
✔️ Pull your future regrets into the present and let them create a sense of urgency.
✔️ Your adversity doesn't have to keep you stuck—it can fuel your purpose.

🌊 Alcohol-Free. Adversity. Marriage. Three Reflections From a Sunrise Walk.
This episode comes to you live from a sunrise walk on the beach the morning after July 4th.
As I'm walking the shoreline, I'm reminded that every day gives us a choice. We can focus on our circumstances, or we can choose how we're going to respond.
Today, I'm sharing three personal reflections that have been on my mind: 7 years alcohol-free, a recent bicep injury, and lessons from another wedding anniversary.
No script. No filters. Just real conversations from a beach walk.
🌅 Why sunrise walks have become one of my favorite daily habits
🥤 Celebrating 7 years alcohol-free and why that decision has transformed my health, mindset, family, and career
🏀 The story behind my recent bicep tear and the question that's changing my perspective:
"So what... now what?"
🚶 Why I'm doubling down on walking, tightening up my nutrition, and focusing on what I can control during recovery
❤️ Reflections on marriage, commitment, forgiveness, and why love is often more of a choice than a feeling
🔥 How adversity can become the fuel that helps you grow instead of the excuse that keeps you stuck
What adversity are you facing right now?
Instead of asking...
❌ "Why me?"
Ask yourself...
✅ "So what... now what?"
Your response—not your circumstances—will determine your future.
✔️ You can have an incredible life without alcohol.
✔️ You can't always control what happens to you, but you can always control how you respond.
✔️ Marriage isn't about finding perfect people—it's about continuing to choose one another.
✔️ Every setback is an opportunity to grow stronger, wiser, and more resilient.
✔️ Adversity doesn't have to define your story—it can fuel your purpose.

It feels a little odd for me to say this... but welcome to the very first episode of The Lance Cibik Show.
I've been thinking about starting this podcast for days, weeks, months... honestly, years.
As a full-time keynote speaker, performance coach, and author of Adversity Fuels Purpose, having a podcast made complete sense.
Just because something makes sense doesn't mean it's easy to start.
In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of my journey—from 22 years in corporate financial services to building a business around helping people maximize their opportunity in life and business. More importantly, we dive into the "head trash" that keeps all of us from taking messy action.
🎤 Why I finally decided to launch The Lance Cibik Show
📖 My journey from Corporate America to becoming a full-time keynote speaker, performance coach, and author
💥 The story behind Adversity Fuels Purpose and why adversity doesn't have to define your future
🧠 The mindset traps, imposter syndrome, and "head trash" that keep high performers stuck
🎯 The three pillars that drive everything I teach:
• Maximize Your Health
• Command Attention
• Reconnect to Your Purpose
🚀 Why taking messy action will always beat waiting for the perfect plan
Where do you need to take messy action?
What have you been putting off because you're waiting until you're more confident, more prepared, or more qualified?
The people who create impact don't wait until everything is perfect.
They start.
