Hillary Clinton, whose 2016 White House hopes were dashed by Republican rival Donald Trump, made the accusation last week in a promotional video for progressive advocacy group Indivisible.

“Right-wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election. And they’re not making a secret of it,” said Clinton. “The right-wing-controlled Supreme Court may be poised to rule on giving state legislatures the power to overturn presidential elections.”

More than five months after experiencing a stroke, Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman struggled at times to explain his positions during a highly anticipated debate Tuesday night in the ABC27 studios against Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz as they vie for a critical Senate seat.

Embattled Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de León said he has no intention of resigning despite calls to step down by protesters, his fellow councilmembers, and even President Joe Biden.

De León is embroiled in a City Hall scandal in which he and two other councilmembers were recorded in a conversation making racist remarks and discussing how to game the city’s redistricting process. In an article published on Oct. 19, an LA Times staff writer wrote, “Elder—a Black Republican who has denied the existence of systemic anti-Black racism, made derogatory remarks about women and once called former President Trump ‘almost God-sent’—emerged as the perfect foil for Newsom.”

“I lost a recall by 24 points despite allegedly denying the existence of racism, saying negative things about women, which I never did, and saying Donald Trump is ‘God-sent’, which I did say because that’s what I believe. Brian Dahle is down 30 points; he said none of those things. He won’t even say whether or not he voted for Donald Trump, even though he’s a Republican. Documents obtained by the Heritage Foundation after it sued the DHS reveal that one of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’s staffers emailed him the account of photographer Paul Ratje, who took the viral photos, less than three hours before the White House press conference where the secretary condemned the agents.

“I’ve never seen them whip anyone,” Ratje said in a quote provided to Mayorkas, adding that the Border Patrol agent “was swinging [his reins] but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.”
