We welcome Annalisa and Sejal to the mics to discuss our favorite topic. They offer a beautiful reminder to appreciate the little things in life, like a tree in autumn whose colors have gradually turned to a melange of deep, soulful hues to indicate the death of one phase and the welcoming of the next. But don't stop too long or too many times - we have things to do with our limited time here!

In addition to death and taxes, another thing is for certain: guests of The Last Drop always provide an eternity of knowledge and opinions while cracking jokes for levity. The topic of advanced directives might be dry, but we do our best to moisten it with our wits and our drinks. POA, DNR, POLST (sometimes MOLST), will all be demystified by our resident medical professional as our resident jester makes only himself laugh.

Zach is back! We are also joined by Lizzie, a classmate of Tom's. In this thriller, we discuss how we want to leave our mark on this existence; whether it be cryogenically freezing our heads, self-mummification, or just being a good enough person that someone will remember you. We each share what we think heaven will be like and one thing is for sure, it will include a buffet and that buffet will include shrimp.

What do we do with our bodies after we die? Apparently, have your family donate them to a local thrift store, according to this episode's guest. Laura Benson of Benson Family Funeral Home recommends that you explore all options before it comes to this. We know it's hard to lose a loved one, but take a deep breath, call around, and ultimately decide to shop local. It will end up being much more affordable and you will help a small business! Enjoy!
