In this episode we follow the journey of Trans-Latina woman, Selena Dagnino, from childhood to the workforce. The conversation starts by discussing the realities of being raised by undocumented Mexican parents in Phoenix, Arizona and what it meant to grow up with "realness" in the local school system. We then follow her days pre-transition in college, the Peace Corps, and finally the workforce. She discusses the realities of thriving and surviving as a member of the trans community and vulnerably gives an account of her own resiliency as she struggles with addiction and mental health.
