Welcome back. I’m Lawrence Francis, Founder and Host of The Wine Marketing Show podcast… the place to learn from thought leaders in the world of marketing. And these won’t be only drawn from wine. Consumer behaviour is a fast moving target and I’m looking forward to exploring it with people who have and continue to inspire me no matter what field they’re in. today we continue the exploration of the impacts of COVID19 on the Spanish enotourism sector in the company of Maria de Simón Baranda. Maria is uniquely positioned to speak on the topic, holding the dual roles of President of Ruta del Vino de Rioja Alavesa and Head of Administration for a boutique regional wine producer Viñedos y Bodegas de la Marquesa - Valserrano, including their enotourism offering. Enjoy!

That being said I kick off 2021 looking at the current state of enotourism. My guest Vinka Danitza is a wine tourism professional based in Spain. As project manager for Priorat Enoturisme, she is developing and coordinating various projects to enhance the visitor experience, maximize tourism and the direct sales potential of the group members. Let me hand over to Vinka who will tell you about her wine journey and how she came to be in her current role.

Is podcasting's low technical barrier to entry a good or bad thing from a wine perspective?
