Brittani Hunt and Tanisha Carothers are the founders of HerSpace Co. and creators of The Layered Living Planner. HerSpace Co. took form a decade ago even before it had its name. From creating innovative tools to curating meaningful experiences, the founders of HerSpace Co. have found themselves holding space for the modern woman as she lives and evolves intentionally.

Both Tanisha and Brittani currently hold full-time careers. Tanisha is an attorney by day and Brittani a director in higher education. But neither are part-time in their love and labor to HerSpace Co. Their most recent labor of love for the modern woman has been the creation of The Layered Living Planner. Coined as the life system for the modern woman, The Layered Living Planner is designed to journey alongside the modern woman as she juggles her responsibilities, while also intentionally tending to her many layers. This tool is built around 12 layers of the modern woman and leaves no rock unturned in the life of the modern woman. Shanece Green is a dual MS in Public Health, MBA and second year PharmD candidate at Campbell University. She is from Portsmouth, Virginia and completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology while minoring in Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon graduating, she is interested in working as apart of a medical team for athletes as a clinical pharmacist specializing in pain management, natural medicine, and patient education. She is currently working on two research projects, one being the second phase of diabetes literacy in a rural health center. In this phase she is incorporating media intervention to improve diabetes literacy after teaching a diabetes prevention program through the CDC. The second project is with Campbell’s football team to assess literacy of signs and symptoms of concussions, anxiety and depression, and medication literacy for over the counter products and supplements among the athletes and medical staff. Whenever she has a break from school and working, she loves to relax by spending time with family and traveling.

Marcus Blackwell is the CEO and Founder of Make Music Count, a math curriculum and app taught through playing the piano. He received a B.S in Mathematics from Morehouse College and has played professional gospel piano since the age of 16. Marcus dedicates his energy to developing creative methods for students to embrace mathematics. His math platform is implemented  in school systems to work directly with students connecting the mathematical dots where the traditional methods of teaching fall short. Marcus believes that if students eliminate their math phobia they’ll be able to reach their full educational potential.
